I have been training with Mark and the team at FTC(Functional training collective) for the last 18 months.
I am really busy and work long hours, the convenience of someone coming to train me at home is brilliant and saves me lots of time. I have 2 sessions a week and have seen a big difference in my body shape, strength and overall fitness.
The sessions are challenging and fun, the team listens to my requirements and tailors a programme that I can use when I stay away from home.
They also give me advice on nutrition and my overall diet has improved.
Great friendly experienced team, I am never disappointed.

I have had the pleasure of working with Mark and Helen to get me on the road to being fit and healthy.
I have always struggled with my weight and been a yo-yo dieter. As for exercise, I hated the thought of it! Going to the gym filled me with dread as I felt so self-conscious. I finally knew I had to change for good! I started to try and eat well and go to the gym, but I was so confused with the conflicting information out there as to what was good for you and what was bad! I could feel myself giving up, I would go to the gym and thought as long as I broke out a sweat I would loose weight... then I found out about functional training collective and thought I would give it a try.
Best decision I ever made... It has been an amazing journey which has not yet finished, their knowledge of fitness, nutrition and wellbeing has no limits and they will do anything to help you on your way to a lifestyle change which has benefited me in many ways including giving me the knowledge to try and encourage my daughters to make the right choices. I now train 3 times a week and can go into the gym with confidence knowing I'm doing the right exercises for me, I eat more lovely food than I ever thought I could and feel great for it! I can feel my shape changing a lot, I've still got a little way to go but this has been the best way to get me started, doing it the right way I feel energetic and healthy and excited to continue on the road to get where I want to be.

I have been training with Mark @ FTC on a weekly basis for over a year to build strength and tone my whole body up.

His sessions are varied and fun, each week I can see myself getting stronger and more toned. The programme is changed regularly to ensure I don't get bored and push myself to achieve more.

Knowing I have a session scheduled in gives me motivation to go to the gym during the week and work on my programme so I get the most out of my class with Mark

I don't think I've ever been in such good shape in my whole life as I am now.

I would have no hesitation recommending FTC. As well as being very knowledgable about fitness and nutrition, they have always provided a reliable and professional service. Mark has been training me for a couple of years now. He sets challenging programmes that fit my needs. He is aware of what I can do as well as my limits and pushes me to meet or even exceed these most weeks!

After having 3 children in rapid succession and leaving the military I have picked up some bad eating habits and earned myself a wee muffin top! During our session Helen gently guided me back on to the right path. Her manner and knowledge were awesome and the info pack she left with me explained what i need to do in simple terms. It was definitely what i needed! Thankyou so much Helen!!

After struggling with weight gain these past few years, caused by a number of factors including stress, Helen has really helped motivate me to change my lifestyle.
She has made it all seem possible with her positivity - stopping me slipping back into my old bad habits!
Helen is really passionate about nutrition and so friendly that it's easy to open up to her, I know she won't judge me and really wants to help.

Helen has totally changed my outlook on food, I used to eat to survive so ate the bare minimum, thinking if I ate too much I would become huge and overweight! 
Eating the right things at the right times of day make the biggest difference. I had no idea that after exercise I should re fuel my body with food! 
I no longer feel tired or have no energy. I am no longer needing my bed at 6pm when the children are asleep! All down to this lovely ladies guidance. 
A few small changes and I'm a different person!

I have trained with Mark for several years now, first as a part of a group and later as a PT together with a friend. I have had other PTs at various gyms, but no one I have stuck with for as long as Mark. There are a few reasons for this:

Mark always keeps his programmes varied, he develops them as you progress, making sure you are constantly achieving new milestones and becoming stronger. Mark is very tentative to any injuries you may have and adapts his routine accordingly, without fuss. He is a true PT, personal - all the training I do with him is tailored. He know exactly how hard to push and when and he does it with a sense of humour.

I always leave a session with Mark knowing I have worked hard, I can’t recommend Mark and the team at FTC enough.
